The Wiggles - Wiggle Bay

Wiggle Bay is the thirteenth Wiggles video special. It was released on Thursday September 26, 2002.

Overview[]

When The Wiggles and their friends sailed into Wiggle Bay, they were looking forward to a picnic by the sea. They found a magic shell, a curious note and Magdalena the beautiful mermaid! They found they had a mystery to solve and had lots of fun Dancing in the Sand! They all swam like fish, spent time Watching the Waves and Rolling Down the Sandhills. They danced a Cachuca, made some rosy tea and had a barbie on the beach. Join The Wiggles when they solve the mystery and return the golden key to its rightful owner. It’s a lot of fun and there’s lots of music and dancing at Wiggle Bay!

Plot[]

Intro for Wiggle Bay

Song 1: Wiggle Bay

The Wiggles and their friends step off their rowboat and introduce themselves. They unload the boat in Wiggle time and relax for a bit. Captain Feathersword looks out at the bay and notices their boat has drifted off to sea because he forgot to tie up the boat. Now they are stuck in Wiggle Bay. Anthony suggests when things go wrong just sing a song.

Song 2: Dancing In the Sand

The Wiggles go fishing, except for Jeff, who prefers to take a nap. Anthony casts his line into the water along with the whole rod. They see something glittering in the water.

Song 3: Swim Like a Fish

The Wiggles net a shell with some writing on it, saying to pass it to someone you like. Wags the Dog suggests giving it to Dorothy, so they do just that.

Song 4: C'est Wags, C'est Bon

The Wiggles meet Magdalena the Mermaid and Captain Feathersword has a dance with her, originated from Mexico, called the Cachuca.

Song 5: Dance A Cachuca

Dorothy likes to look at the sandhills 'cause they like great to roll down.

Song 6: Rolling Down the Sandhills/Running Up the Sandhills

The Wiggles find a bottle with a message but some of the writing has been smudged out from the water. They give the message to Dorothy, who somehow relates it to the shell she has.

Song 7: Let's Make Some Rosy Tea

There's some magical treasure nearby and so The Wiggles get Wags to help dig it out. After scouting a couple of random locations with the audience's help, they find that Wags has located a spot. They start digging and find random objects, but Wags continues digging and finds a key! They decide that Captain Feathersword should hang on to the key for safekeeping.

Song 8: Zing Zang Wing Wang Wong

The Wiggles talk with Magdalena, and she remarks it's the key to Davy Jones' Locker. Captain Feathersword leaves with Magdalena to return the key to King Neptune.

Song 9: Watching The Waves

Anthony gets hungry.

Song 10: Let's Have a Barbie on the Beach

Captain Feathersword and Magdalena return with good news. King Neptune has found the boat and they have it now. King Neptune calls in to say thanks for getting the key back.

(Seagulls cawing when The Wiggles have to take their hats & life jackets off, while a Wiggly Dancer is gonna put on a Hawaiian lei for The Wiggles when they introduce themselves.)

Anthony: (excited) Yippee! Yippee! Hoo-hoo! Ha-ha! Hello, everyone, we're The Wiggles! I'm Anthony.

Greg: I'm Greg.

Murray: I'm Murray.

Jeff: And I'm Jeff.

Anthony: And we’re having a special day at Wiggle Bay. Hey, that rhymes-- day and bay.

Greg: You don't say.

Murray: That's okay.

Anthony: Ha-ha! Hey-hey!

Jeff: Any who?

Greg: Uh, any way. (to camera) Where's Captain Feathersword gone?

Captain Feathersword: (He's holding too many things when unpacking those things.) Oh, here I am, Greg. Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Anthony: Captain!

Dorothy: We need to get everything off the boat and then we can enjoy our day.

Greg: Great idea, Dorothy. (He's looking at his wrist watch.) Hey, guys, we haven't got much time. We'd better do it in (With Jeff & Anthony.) "Wiggle Time!"

Murray: Double quick "Wiggle Time!"

All: Yeah!

(The Wiggles, their friends & their dancers are unpacking those things by making time-lapsed during Wiggly Sports Theme plays in the background.)

Captain Feathersword: (He's giving a lounge chair to Dorothy.) Here you go, Dorothy. Hoo-hoo-hoo!

Wags: Ruff! (6x)

Henry: Ohhh!

Wags: Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!

(Jeff is too tired to unpack these things, while he's sleeping but Anthony, Murray & Greg are trying to carry Jeff & he sits on the lounge chair when Dorothy is looking at Jeff that he's sleeping.)

Anthony: Ha-ha-ha-ha! Whoo!

(A scene where the boat was not tied up until the boat just drifted away while waves came towards it but the scene translates to part where The Wiggly Group are relaxing & playing hobbies to do at Wiggle Bay when Murray's playing his acoustic guitar sitting on the hammock, Greg & Wags are build their sandcastles.)

Wags: Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!

(Anthony's eating a sandwich & sitting on a lounge chair & Henry is using his binoculars to see something very far away but there is a problem.)

Henry: Uh… Oh… WHOA!!!! Uh-oh! (Henry asks Captain to wake up that he saw a problem.) Oh, Captain! Captain! Oh!

Captain Feathersword: (He is getting out of the lounge chair while he's looking through his telescope but then the boat sailed away & he is getting very upset.) Oh, dear! Oh, dear! Oh, dear! Oh, silly old Captain!

Anthony: What's the matter, Captain?

Captain Feathersword: I forgot to tie up the boat, and now it's drifted out to sea! See?!

Jeff: (Jeff is looking at the boat drifting away through his telescope.) Ooh! I can see it.

Murray: It's drifted a long way out.

Captain Feathersword: Oh, now we're stuck at Wiggle Bay!

All: Oh, no!

Captain Feathersword: Oh, the tide's taken it out to sea.

Greg: But, when the tide turns will it bring it back?

Captain Feathersword: Uh, it might. Uh, I hope so.

Anthony: Well, you know what they say.

All: No.

Anthony: When things go wrong, just sing a song!

Greg: About being stuck and not able to get home?

Anthony: Ha! No! How about "Dancing In The Sand."

Greg: Great idea!

All: Yeah!

(A scene transitions to Jeff taking a nap on his lounge chair while Anthony, Murray & Greg are going fishing on the cliff.)

Anthony: (offscreen.) Come on, Wiggles, let's get our lines in the water.

Murray & Greg: Yeah!

(Anthony is throwing a fishing rod & drops it down to the water then Anthony is whistling crossing his arms & clock ticking while we wait for the fish.)

Greg: Hmm, you know what? The fish don't seem to be biting today.

Murray: (holding a fishing rod.) No, there's fish out there, i'm sure, but they're not interested in our bait.

Anthony: (He found something shiny looking down there in the ocean.) Hey, look! What's that?

Greg: Where?

Anthony: In the water. There's something shiny

Greg: Oh!

Murray: Fish have shiny scales.

Greg & Anthony: Oh, yeah?

Murray: There must be some fish out there.

Greg & Anthony: Yeah!

Murray: You know, when fish swim, their scales glitter. (to the camera.) We know a song all about "Swimming Like A Fish."

(Shot transition to the song: Swim Like A Fish. A scene where someone inserts The Wiggles vinyl record & turns on the record player, while The Wiggly Dancers & The Wiggles are dancing about a fish.)

Anthony: (He's laughing before he is gonna pull something out of the net.) Captain. Got it. Ha-ha-ha! Hey, (He's holding a seashell.) Where did that come from?

Murray: (He noticed that the shell has words on it.) Hey, it's got something written on it. "If you find me, give me to someone who will enjoy my beauty."

Anthony: Well, I think it's beautiful. But, Captain, Wags, what do you think?

Wags: Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! (Wags asks he will give it to Dorothy.)

Anthony: Let's give it to Dorothy.

Greg: Yeah, but, first we'd better wake Jeff up, huh?

Anthony: Great idea. (They are all gonna wake Jeff up that Jeff's snoring.)

Greg: Ready, everybody? 1, 2, 3, (With Wags, Captain, Murray, Anthony, and you) WAKE UP, JEFF!!!!!!! (Jeff blubbers while he's waking up.)

Anthony: Ha-ha! Come on, Jeff, let's go.

Jeff: Did we catch anything?

Murray: Uh, well.... yes and no.

Jeff: What do you mean?

Murray: (offscreen) Come on, Jeff, you'll find out.

Wags: Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! (They were all going to see Dorothy.)

Dorothy: (She's singing while setting their table but then she giggles & continues singing while The Wiggles, Wags & Captain arrive.) Oh, look who's coming to visit me! hello, Wiggles.

All: Hi, Dorothy.

Dorothy: Did you catch anything?

Jeff: Well.... yes and no.

Dorothy: What do you mean?

Jeff: I don't know. What do I mean?

Murray: Well, we didn't catch any fish.

Greg: No, but we did something in our net.

Dorothy: Oh, what is it?

Anthony: Have a look at this. (He's holding a shell & giving it to Dorothy.) It's a beautiful shell.

Dorothy: Oh, it's lovely. But whose is it?

Anthony: Well, there's something written on it. Have a look, Dorothy.

Dorothy: (She giggles and is gonna see what's written on it.) Ooh! "If you find me, give me to someone who will enjoy my beauty."

Greg: So we all thought of you.

Anthony: It was Wags' idea, really.

Dorothy: It's beautiful. I'll put it on my special shelf for all my friends to see.

Greg: (to the camera.) Can you see anyone? ("Yes," you answer.)

Henry: Just there. Come a bit closer and you'll see her. This is my friend, Magdalena the Mermaid.

Magdalena: Hello, Wiggles. I'm very pleased to meet you. Henry talks about you all the time.

Anthony: (to the camera.) Why doesn't she come out of the water to talk to us? ("Because she has a tail instead of legs," you answer.) Oh, of course. Mermaids have a tail instead of legs.

Henry: (offscreen.) Whoa!

Magdalena: Henry tells me your boat drifted out to sea.

Henry: Oh, yes.

Magdalena: Well, I'll ask King Neptune to put a sea call out. Someone will find it.

Greg: Oh, that'd be wonderful. Thank you, Magdalena.

Magdalena: I sing in "Henry's Underwater Big Band". Henry tells me you sing, too.

Murray: Oh, yes, we do. And we dance, too. Do you dance?

Anthony: Murray, um, she can't dance. She's got a tail instead of legs.

Magdalena: Oh, yes, I can. You don't need legs to dance. You just need to want to dance. Look! (Her swim is in her dance move.)

Henry: (offscreen.) Hmm.

Jeff: Don't you ever get cold in the water?

Magdalena: No, mermaids don't get cold in the sea; it's where we live.

Greg: Magdalena, if you can sing and dance and we can sing and dance, couldn't we sing and dance together?

Murray: I didn't bring my swimming costume.

Greg: No, Murray, I mean, we can sing and dance out here. Magdalena can sing and dance in the water and, well, Henry can dance whenever he wants.

Henry: Oh, great idea, Greg.

Magdalena: Well, do you know a song we can all sing and dance together?

Anthony: Of course, we do! (He's calling our friends to have a dance & sing.) Hey, come on, everybody, we're having a dance with Henry's friend.

(They were all cheering since they have all run back up the sandhills. But then, a ball came back to play a game.)

Greg: Hey, guys, let's have a game of beach volleyball. (He hits a ball toward Captain Feathersword.)

Captain Feathersword: Oh, wow, volleyball. Hey, let's go play volleyball. I'll be the Captain.

Henry: Oh, excellent idea!

Dorothy: Yes, great idea! Let's put up the net.

(The Wiggly Group are setting up to play a game called volleyball & making time-lapsed. while Wiggly Sports Theme plays in the background.)

Anthony: Let's play volleyball!

Greg: All right, here we go!

(The Wiggly Group are playing volleyball while hitting a ball instead of catching it.)

Wags: Ruff! Ruff!

Anthony: Look ahead, Wagsy!

Captain Feathersword: Wags, here we go!

Greg: Set it up.

Anthony: Get ready, everybody! (He swings his arm forward & back.)

(Anthony hits the volleyball too hard and now it lands into the sea.)

Dorothy: It's going out to sea!

Greg: It's gone way out to sea.

Murray: Oh, yes, look at it.

Greg: We'll never get it back.

Anthony: Hey, look!

(Magdalena throws the volleyball & it lands into Anthony's hands.)

Anthony: Whoa!

All: Thanks, Magdalena. (Magdalena is waving to the Wiggly Group while she's gonna have a swim. while Community Service Announcement! instrumental track plays in the background and she dissappears in the waves but then a scene translates to the part where a bottle is shown while The Wiggles are gonna get it.)

Anthony: Hey, look! (He picks up a bottle.) What's this?

Greg: It's a bottle, Anthony.

Murray: But there's something inside it. (Anthony opens a bottle cap & takes the note out of a bottle.)

Greg: Yeah.

Jeff: It looks like a letter.

Anthony: Ah. But who would put a letter in a bottle? What does it say?

Jeff: Ooh, it's a bit smudged.

Greg: (Greg takes a note & reads a message.) "If you find the magic shell...." (He's speaking is gibberish since he doesn't know how to pronounce these words.)

Murray: Huh?

Anthony: Huh?

Jeff: Huh?

Greg: But I can't read the rest of it, though.

Anthony: But what does it mean? (to the camera.) Do you know what it means? ("I think we should ask Dorothy the Dinosaur," you respond.) What? Oh, you think we should ask Dorothy The Dinosaur? That's a great idea. Guys, they think we should ask Dorothy The Dinosaur.

Murray: That's a great idea.

Anthony: Yeah, let's do it. (They were all going to see Dorothy the Dinosaur.)

Dorothy: How's your tea, Captain?

Captain Feathersword: Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Wags: Ruff! Ruff! (They were all both drinking their rosy tea.)

Captain Feathersword: Cheers, Wags.

Dorothy: (She saw that the Wiggles are coming visit to ask.) Oh, look, it's the Wiggles.

All: Hi, Dorothy.

Dorothy: Hi, Wiggles. I've just made a pot of rosy tea. Would you like some?

Anthony: Rosy tea, would we like some? We'd love some, Dorothy. But hang on, have a look at this. (He's holding a bottle.)

Captain Feathersword: Uh, it's a bottle, Anthony.

Greg: Ah, but see, there's a note inside it. (He takes a note out of a bottle.)

Jeff: We couldn't read it properly. It's a bit smudged.

Dorothy: "If you find the magic shell...." Ooh, just a minute.

Anthony: Hey, (to camera.) are you thinking what I'm thinking? That shell we found.

Dorothy: You don't suppose it could be.... (She is holding a shell.)

All: Yeah! It could be.

Dorothy: (She's putting a shell into her left ear.) I can hear the sea.

Murray: Dorothy, can't you always hear the sea when you hold a shell to you ear?

Dorothy: Hmm, but there's something else. Look for the golden key.

Captain Feathersword: Golden quay. But a quay is where you tie your boat up. (He shrieks.)

Wags: Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!

Captain Feathersword: And there's no quays around here anywhere.

Greg: Not that sort of quay, Captain. the other sort. The sort that unlocks a door.... (He's pretending that the key turns to unlock the door knob & then it opens up.) Rrrrrr!

Captain Feathersword: Oh!

Dorothy: Yes!

Captain Feathersword: You mean a key, key. (He's pretending that the key turns to unlock the door knob & then it opens up) Rrrrrr! not a quay, quay. (He shrieks. But then, Dorothy giggles.)

Murray: Where are we going to find a golden key.... (He's pretending that the key turns to unlock the door knob & then it opens up.) key? (to camera.) What do you think, everyone? What? In the sand.... it could be buried in the sand? Hey, every, they say we should dig in the sand. Come on.

Anthony: Hang on, Murray, hang on, everyone. Let's have some rosy tea first.

Dorothy: Yes, some rosy tea.
