It's Time to Wake Up Jeff! (titled Wiggle Around the Clock in North America) is the Twenty-second Wiggles video special. It is a re-recording of the Wake Up Jeff! video special, which was released a decade earlier.

Production and Filming Locations[]

This video was filmed from January - February 2005, the same time as Here Comes the Big Red Car and TV Series 5, whereas the "Walking on the Moon" song was filmed on Monday January 19, 2004 at the NASA Space Center.

This video was filmed at Sydney Film and Television Studios for the studio scenes, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Anzac Bridge for the We Like to Say Hello song, the Sydney Harbour for the S.S Feathersword scenes, and at NASA in the US for the Walking on the Moon song.

Plot[]

Intro - where the Wiggles pictures flash on the screen in a 4x4 grid.

The Wiggles introduce themselves.

Song 1: We Like to Say Hello - The Wiggles ride on their outdoor car set through Sydney traffic and bridges.

Greg points out to Henry that someone is waving hello to him, so Henry waves back. Henry announces he has his band and they'll play a song.

Song 2: Henry's Underwater Big Band - (Wiggly Animation)

Murray introduces Jo and her son Alex at the beachside. Murray interviews Alex about what he likes to do at the beach.

Song 3: Having Fun at the Beach

Anthony sings a bunch of rhymes like "Sing Sang Song, that's Greg's song" and "snooorrre… that's Jeff's song". The SS Feathersword get into the act too and each crew member talks about their pirate item. For instance, Elefterios talks about his Pirate Bouzuki, Ben talks about his Pirate toothbrush, George talks about standing on his Pirate hands.

Song 4: Bing Bang Bong (That's a Pirate Song)

Jeff's fallen asleep! Greg walks up to him and asks for help to wake him up. Wake up Jeff! Jeff is awake and thanks Greg, but as soon as he leaves, Jeff falls asleep again. Same story with Anthony, and with Murray, except when Murray calls Wake Up Jeff, Jeff's still asleep (possibly because he can't hear Murray)! Murray asks for some ideas, and agrees that we would sing a song to do the trick.

Anthony and Murray sing the main verse of Bucket of Dew.

Song 6: Bucket of Dew/Paddy Condon from Cobar - This song features the four Irish dancing girls and lots of confetti.

Greg asks Dorothy about a dance she is doing.

Song 7: Romp Bomp A Stomp - The Wiggle Dancers join this song.

Song 8: A Frog Went a Walking – (Wiggly Animation)

Anthony is wearing a lifejacket and a captain's hat, and invites everyone to get ready for a boat trip. That means putting on the jacket, having a whistle to blow, and waving at the nearby boats.

Jeff introduces Dorothy and asks her about a dance she is doing.

Song 10: Dorothy (Would You Like to Dance?)

Skit - Captain Feathersword is sad because today is his birthday and it seems like everyone's forgotten about it He had put signs all over, but no one has seen them. Several of the pirate crew come and visit him but when the captain asks them what day it is, they answer with everything except his birthday. Of course they all know it's his birthday but are keeping it a surprise.

Song 11: We're Playing a Trick on the Captain

Skit continues: Lucia checks that everything is ready. Now it's time to bring the captain over, but how? Adrian does a backflip and announces a plan, and Elefterios goes to get the captain. When they return, they give him a big surprise!

Greg has a challenge for Jeff: can he run? Hop? Sing? Fall asleep? Greg tells him to wake Jeff up. 1, 2, 3. Wake Up, Jeff!

Murray introduces Wags and tells him a joke, which Wags laughs at and says "That's funny, Murray!".

Interview: Greg introduces Mike Fincke, an astronaut at the NASA Johnson Space Center. He's been in space for 188 days. They talk about what it's like to fly in space, and also looking at the Earth from space. Mike shows Greg some of the features of the Apollo space suit.

Song 17: Walking on the Moon

Anthony plays a pipe and asks everyone to join in on the dancing fun. You can dance with a friend or by yourself; it's all good. Everyone will be all dancing the piper's waltz. It comes from beautiful Scotland.

Jeff's fallen asleep again. Greg tells everybody to wake him up one last time. 1, 2, 3, Wake Up Jeff! Jeff awakes just in time but the show's over so everyone waves goodbye.

And we've got our hats on as well. We're going to have lots of fun at the beach and...

Murray: Ah, they help you keep the hat on, do they?

Alex: Yeah.

But that always works. Jeff's still asleep! What are we going to do, everyone? Have you got any ideas? Yes, that's a great idea! Let's sing a song to wake Jeff up. Great thinking, everyone. Anthony: Everybody, it's time to take a trip out on the sea in a wonderful boat. We'd love you to come with us. Now, if you're a child, make sure you're on the boat, you wear a lifejacket, personal flotation device or a safety vest, they're called. Now these are wonderful, because if you fall in the water, they help to keep you afloat. And have a look what they've got. A special whistle. (He blows whistle.) Which you can blow in the water so everybody knows where you are. Now out on the sea, everybody, there's beautiful seagulls out there, there's fish in the water, you might see some other boats with people on them. Make sure you wave hello and wave goodbye. Right now, it's very exciting, let's take a trip out on the sea. (He gives a thumbs up & a salute.)

Aido: Captain, we've just come to tell you we finished hoisting the main sail.

Caterina: You look sad, Captain Feathersword. Is something the matter?

Captain Feathersword: Uh, no. It's nothing. Do you know what special day today is?

Lucia, Aido, and Caterina: Um...

Lucia: It's Tuesday, isn't it?

Captain Feathersword: Uh, yes, oh well, never mind.

(Lucia, Aido, and Caterina exit the cabin. Feathersword transition.)

Dave, Benny, Clarky, and George: (entering the cabin.) Captain, we finished mopping the deck.

George: Oh, you don't look too happy Captain Feathersword, and that's just not like the happy-ga-lucky-ever-so-happy champy you are. So, argh, why are you so glum?

Captain Feathersword: Har.....it's nothing really. Do you know what special day today is?

George: Um...Tuesday?

Benny: Uh...sheep shearing day?

Dave: Washing day?

Clarky: Uh...dancing day? Uh-huh.

Captain Feathersword: Uh...never mind. Never mind. (He starts to sob.)

(Elefterios is playing his bouzouki and Alfonso is playing his harmonica. They both play a sad tune.)

Captain Feathersword: (feeling sad still.) Oh dear, nobody's remembered my birthday. How depressing, gurgh. *sob* I think I'll head up to the deck and get some fresh air to see if that makes me feel better. (He walks up to the deck sobbing.)

(Part of the music for Running Up The Sandhills is played when the friendly pirate crew enters the cabin.)

Benny: Hey me little mateys, *click* do you reckon that Captain Feathersword knows about the birthday surprise party we're having for him?

Caterina: No, he still thinks we've forgotten his birthday.

All: We're playing a trick on the captain!

(The crew waves their hands up and down, except Dave, who drinks his tea and changes his normal voice to his operatic voice.)

(Aido does a back flip by the sound of a whistle.)

Aido: Hmm. Ooh! I know. Here's my plan. (He whispers his plan to his friends.)

Elefterios: I'll go and get the Captain. Yia sas. (Elefterios takes off his party hat and leaves the cabin to find Captain Feathersword in return.)

(The show transitions to the dark cabin where the friendly pirate crew is hiding behind furniture and a group of candles lights it up.)

Captain Feathersword: (entering the cabin with Elefterios, who saves his party hat for later.) Whoa. Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Arr! Whoo, dear. It's dark in here. Gurg!

(The lights turn on with a ding and the friendly pirate crew pops out from behind the furniture.)

The Friendly Pirate Crew: Surprise! And happy birthday!

Captain Feathersword: Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Oh-ho-ho, me hearties, this is the best surprise party I've ever had! Arr! (He blows out the candles and his crew claps and cheers while he gives the thumbs up with his mouth open.)

Greg: Hi everyone, it's a very special day today because we're here at Johnson's space center and we're about to meet a real astronaut. His name is Mike Fincke. Let's all say "Hi" to Mike. Hi, Mike.

Michael Fincke: Hi, Greg. Hi, everyone.

Greg: Now Mike, you're actually spent some time up in space. How long were you up in space for?

Michael Fincke: Well, Greg, I was up in space for 188 days a long time.

Greg: That is a long time. Well, Mike, tell us a little bit about what it's like to be up in space?

Michael Fincke: Oh, Greg, flying in space was so much fun. We don't have any gravity up there so we were kind of weightless we would float around in our cabin and uh, we could fly around and we could standing on the ceiling because we didn't really walk on the floor.

Greg: So you don't walk around on the floor like we do you can just float around and go wherever you want.

Michael Fincke: Upside down or right side up.

Greg: Wow, that sounds really cool. Now, Mike, when you're up in space and you're looking down at Earth. What does it look like?

Michael Fincke: We have a beautiful planet, it's mostly blue and you can see the clouds, the white clouds and you can see everything below. Cities and the countryside, it's really beautiful.

Greg: That's sounds amazing. Now, behind us here, there's a space suit from the Apollo missions. Now, Mike, can you tell us a little bit about this spacesuit?

Michael Fincke: Well, Greg, we wear these spacesuits whenever we launch in our rocket and when we come back home and while we're inside the spacecraft in orbit, we can take off the spacesuits and wear other kinds of clothes but for launch and landing, this is definitely what we wear and you can see, we have a helmet on and it keeps every, every all the air inside and, and we sometimes wear a headset. a headphone and so we can communicate and talk to other people because it's really hard to hear through the helmet without a microphone and then down here, you can see, we have these, these ports here and one of them, you put oxygen inside air and the outside and then when you breathe out, that's the other, other one and you can see, we have things like they're helpful like pockets and things like that and you can see, it's kind of just one long big piece of a space suit. there's no real separation of pants and a shirt. It's just one big suit and at the bottom, we have space boots and they help protect us also.

Greg: Well, Mike, that's great. That's a fantastic space suit. In fact everyone, you might want to get your space suits ready. Let's go walking on the moon.
